 Policies, rules, and regulations: 

This is an open studio. Take all steps that you feel are important to safeguard your health. Please do not come to the studio if you are feeling sick. 

Studio safety is a primary concern. All students must follow the processes and procedures that have been outlined by staff for the correct use of materials, disposal of refuse, and use of equipment (including the kilns). Be tidy, be aware of your surroundings, follow guidelines, and ask for help when needed.      

Disclaimer:

Clay is an inherently changeable material and medium. There are many variables that affect how clay behaves (including, but not limited to: weather, temperature, humidity, light, air pressure, chemical interactions in the glay and glazes, and good old human error). BCC cannot guarantee a perfect experience or outcome. We cannot promise that you will finish the class with a successful polished example of ceramics, but we do strive to teach you well, to give you a wide introduction, and to foster a desire to improve your work and success!   

BCC is is committed to including materials, tools, techniques, and opportunities for learning in order to encourage a positive and creative atmosphere. 

BCC is staffed by part-time teachers. Please be patient when emailing with any questions. We will respond to you as soon as we are able to. 

Registration is done through an online link.  

We hope all students will enjoy sharing our space and working alongside the instructors and with other students, learning to create in this wonderful and historic medium.   

The BCC studio is not be used for anything other than learning to work with clay. We reserve the right to revoke the privilege of using the space, at our discretion. If a student is excused or asked to leave a course, he/she will be refunded any tuition paid to date on a prorated scale.
